With a range of 50 miles, the 2 seat quadricycle Renault Twizy is a cross between a city car and a moped.
The Renault Twizy lithium battery can be charged from any mains socket. So although designed for city living. As with all 100% electric vehicles, how to charge it is an issue if you live in a flat with no garage.
The base price is amazingly low but do factor in the cost of buying doors (Not included in the Basic Expression model!). Furthermore, the monthly rental cost of the battery really adds to the annual running costs.
From what we have read it’s full of fun, lacking in comfort – it’s been compared to go carting – and is open to the elements. So with our wet and windy climate we want to know – how do you stay dry commuting to the office every day?
As a 2 seater there’s not storage but you can trade one seat for storage space, or else it’s very limited. So if you’re going grocery shopping in the Renault Twizy you might have to go on your own!
We can’t wait to have a go in one, but do you own one, the legendary Sir Sterling Moss has owned one since 2013 – he loves the tiny car parking advantages – what do you love about yours?
