Vauxhall Corsa-e

Vauxhall’s entry level electric car is here

The learner drivers favourite car, the Corsa now has an electric version.  The Vauxhall Corsa-e comes with a 50kWh power pack and a range of 209 miles.

With a base model price of £21,485 after the £2,500 electric car grant the entry level model is still approx. £5,000 more than an ICE entry level version. The car comes in 3 variants, SE Nav and Elite Nav and SE Nav Premium. The most expensive variant landing at £24,140. Vauxhall claim an annual running cost saving of nearly £4000 based on 40,000 miles per annum. Whether this will be enough to tempt customers to take the electric option will be seen.

Performance wise its quite nippy without being too fast with a 0-60 time of 7.6 seconds, not too much for the learner divers to handle. There are 3 different driving style options, Eco, Normal of Sport, with the usual payoff between performance and range.
